LBC Exterior Clean's method of removing chewing gum from pavements
We use two proven methods. Our backpack Gum Buster system heats a specialist removal solution to steam at the tip of the wand, combined with wire-brush agitation — it’s quiet, discreet and safe to use alongside pedestrians, with no need to cordon off the area.
For larger areas, our hot pressure washing and steam cleaning rigs clear gum at roughly one piece every 2–3 seconds; these do require the working area to be cordoned off for public safety.
On average, steam cleaning removes gum at one piece every 2–3 seconds; the backpack system works at one piece every 7–10 seconds but keeps the area open to the public throughout.
